BARINGO JUBILEE MCAs OPPOSE BBI PRIVATIZATION BY RAILA.

A section of Jubilee MCAs from Baringo County have come out to condemn the 'privatization' of the Building Bridges Initiative  report by one faction of the political side.

The ward representatives who were speaking on Friday at Baringo County Assembly premises said that it is regrettable that a document which could have benefited all Kenyans at large has become something which is being controlled by one person.

They accused former prime minister and current opposition leader Raila Odinga for personalizing the document after saying that there will be no room for amendments which will be made on the report since everyone had there time to present their views.

Led by Bartabwa ward MCA Reuben Chepsongol, they lamented that they will not accept a report which does not reflect the views of all Kenyans saying that the country belongs to all the 42 tribes and no one should be locked out.

Chepsongol further said that Kenyans should leave the document for Raila and his wife since he had become tyrannical with the constitutional amendment proposals.

Mochongoi ward MCA Kipruto Kimosop reiterated the sentiments by saying that BBI will not see the light of the day if it will not address issues to do with minority and pastoralist communities in the country.

He noted that it is sad that communities without numbers are on their own adding that the one man one vote one shilling formula will lock out the minority communities on matters about revenue sharing.

Kimosop further stated the BBI document has marginalized MCAs since they have been locked out of consultation forums which has seen senators and also MPs being involved.

"I am telling the President and Raila Odinga If you don't listen to MCAs, then we will shoot it down" he warned.
