A number of organizations, have been on the forefront trying to assist the locals in one way or the other.

The latest organization to offer an helping hand is Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL) which has offered to assist with food and medical supplies to the victims who are currently living in tents.

During the flagging off of the consignment at Kiwanja Ndege IDP camp in Marigat ward today, BTL National Director Peter Munguti, said that the community has been affected in the recent past by incidences of insecurity and also displacement by the rising waters of Lake Baringo.
At the same time, he said that 910 households have been targeted in Ng'ambo, Kiserian and Salabani locations.

Munguti called upon the National and County governments to see to it that they give the displaced people a space to construct back their homes and also assist in construction of the same since it was not their wish to live in IDP camps.
