RIFT VALLEY LEADERS DISMISS DCI KINOTI ON REVIVAL OF PEV CASES.

Jubilee leaders from the Rift Valley region have come forward to condemn the Director Of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti, for reopening investigations into the country's 2007-08 post election violence that left more than 1,100 people dead.

Led by Baringo North MP William Cheptumo who said that the intention of it all is just to target Deputy William Ruto so that they can block his 2022 presidential ambitions.

Cheptumo wondered why the DCI revived the case now 13 years later only one year to 2022 yet they all the time investigate it saying that they are reading malice about the investigations which they sense might have been politically instigated.

He added that the only way the deep state can stop DP Ruto's growing popularity is by reviving the cases which Kenyans had long forgotten and forgiven each other and moved on.

Baringo Assembly speaker David Kerich said that the state machinery should not be used to oppress other people but instead it should be used to address challenges affecting Kenyans.

Bartabwa MCA Reuben Chepsongol reiterated the sentiments by saying that nothing will stop the DP from becoming the fifth president of Kenya despite all the challenges he is undergoing, noting that the DCI is targeting the DP.

The Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti said the investigation was reopened following complaints by several communities that are being profiled and intimidated amid rising political temperatures in the country.
